Minister Mama Fouda Announces The Unavailability Of BCG Vaccine Against Tuberculosis In Cameroon

The Minister of Public Health Andre Mama Fouda has announced the unavailability of BCG Vaccine against tuberculosis in hospitals around the country.

In a Press release of yesterday December 6, 2017, the Minister advised that while the situation is being brought under control, mothers should limit contact with their children.

According to the Minister, this shortage is due to the many orders received by the international vaccine supply circuit.

The BCG Vaccine is used in the prevention of tuberculosis and severe respiratory diseases due to Bacillus Koch.
