Cameroon Urban Transport Trade Union Threatens To Go On Rampage If Government Does Not Uplift The Three Months Suspension On General Express

The Cameroon Urban Transport Trade Union is threatening to go on strike, if Minister Mebe Ng'o does not uplift the three months suspension decision on General Express following its recent accident that killed 15 persons.

According to a two paged letter to the Prime Minister, signed by Trade Unionists, Minister Mebe Ngo's suspension is biased. They call on the Prime Minister  to revisit the laws governing interurban transport in Cameroon, and give a positive reply to their letter, or they will be forced to park their buses in a nationwide strike.

It should be noted that General Express has killed almost 100 persons in different road accidents since the start of the year 2017 on the Yaounde - Douala highways, and  the Yaounde - West highways.
