Visually Impaired UB PHD Student Embarks On Hunger Strike Because School Officials Obliges Him To Pay Fees

A visually impaired PHD student of the University of Buea has embarked on a hunger strike infront of the Faculty of Education of the said Institution.

Charley Ringnyu Myugap who also an Assistant Lecturer says he has been prevented from defending for non-payment of tuition fees, which according to him is a violation of the law concerning people in his condition on Campus.

UB officials say other students in Charley's conditions who have passed through the institution in the past have always paid their fees and that Charley should be no exception.

Charley on his part says he is the first visually impaired student, who has gone through the benches of the University of Buea, and therefore call on President Paul Biya to hear his cries and come to his rescue.
