Image may contain: 2 people, outdoor and water

Even after the Debuncha Coast accident that recently claimed 34 lives, the Cameroon government is still not taking safety precautions for its citizens using sea and rivers in the execution of their daily activities.

The photo above is that of the Senior Divisional Officer for Rey-Bouba Division, Jean DJALLO on a working visit with gendarmes and the Traditional Ruler of  Rey-Bouba, on the River Mayo Sina, Dobinga, in the Northern Region of Cameroon.

You can see that there are no life jackets in the boat. What will happen in case of an accident?
