Former Minister Of Defense Philippe Menye Me Mvé Dies At 80

Cameroon's former Minister of Defense Philippe Menye Me Mvé is death. He died in France yesterday Saturday July 8 2017, after a protracted illness.

Last year, news of Mve’s troubled health made rounds on Social Media, and  after spending six years in France where he was battling with kidney failure, he returned to Cameroon hoping to have an opportunity to meet Paul Biya…. “I am in Cameroon for two weeks and I will fight to try by all means To meet him or his wife. “ he said in 2016.

In October 2009 he suffered a seizure and was immediately taken to Yaounde  General Hospital where things got worst and he went into a coma.

His wife Jeanne contacted Martin Belinga Eboutou, Director of the Civil Cabinet at the Presidency, who informed the the Head of State of the state of things. The Head of State gave instructions and Menye Mve Ve was evacuated.

While he was being evacuated, it was diagnosed he had a heart problem, and he was sent to a Cardiologist, who later said his heart was fine, and that he had but a kidney failure.

He has been battling with the kidney issue for many years now, and finally gave up yesterday in France.

May his soul RIP.
