Samuel Eto'o Fils Sex Scandal Allegations Involving Gabonese President Lands Cameroonian Journalists In Hot Water

The Peter Essoka led National Communication Council has once again slapped media houses and journalists with severe sanctions for the publication and diffusion of unfounded information about  individuals against their consent.

Among the recent victims who solicited the mediation of the Peter Essoka's Court  is former Indomitable Lions Captain Samuel Eto'o Fils who accused  'La Nation d'Afrique' magazine of 'tarnishing his reputation'  with an unfounded story about him(Eto'o) and the Gabonese authorities, during the just ended finals of the African Cup of Nations in which the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon emerged champions.

The gazette reoported that Eto'o was denied access into the Gabonese territory, and that it was only thanks to the intervention of his personal Boo Gianni Infantino  FIFA's President that the Gabonese authorities finally uplifted the ban.

According to story that originated from Gabonese tabloids, the bone of contention between Samuel Eto'o Fils and the Gabonese President was because Eto'o had a crush on Ali Bongo's 36 years old daughter Malika Bongo, and also on one of the wives of Ali Bongo's Adviser's against his wish.

Reacting to these allegations, Samuel Eto'o Fils on February 24th 2017, denied with proves, that was he banned from entering the Gabonese territory during the said period, and promised to take legal actions to clean up his name which his detractors were trying to rubbish in the mud.

In a press release published yesterday April 26 2017, the Vice President of the National Communication Council Joseph Janvier Rene Mvoto Ebounou, made public seven verdicts, from recent hearings between individuals and various press organs, among which was that of Samuel Eto'o Fils versus 'La Nation d'Afrique'.

NCC thus separately suspends  the press organ 'La Nation d'Afrique', Charles Mael BINGAMBO journalist working with the aforementioned gazette and author of the said defamatory article, for three months each. Completely BANS the Director of Publication of the said organ SABOUANG Yen Serge, from carrying out any journalism activities in Cameroon indefinitely.

These sanctions comes barely few days after the Military Court of Yaounde slammed RFI Hausa Correspondent Ahmed Abba with a 10 years jail term plus a fine of 55 million F CFA carrying out his duties as a journalist.
