27 Anglophones To Be Judged At The Yaounde Military Court

Minister Issa Tchiroma Bakary

Cameroon Government's 'Parrot-man' Issa Tchiroma Bakary during a press conference yesterday Wed Feb. 15th in Yaounde, said 27 anglophone secessionists will be tried at the Kangaroo Court.

"Concerning the case that was opened at the Military court in Yaounde on the 13th of Feb, 27  persons are involved in the said trial, among which are Felix Nkongho Agbor and Fontem Neba, leaders on the Cameroon Anglophone Civil Society Consortium, whose existence before was illegal" Minister Chiroma said.

Tchiroma had earlier said in one of his televised outings that some of those involved in the trial are not under detention(I wonder who those people are, and if truly they are being accused as the others, I doubt why there aren't under detention. Better still, are they not people made up to come and accuse the others?)

"The persons who are being judged are accused of the following counts: Acts of Terrorism, Hostility against the fatherland, secession, revolution, rioting, Insults on the President of the Republic, Insults on state bodies and civil servants, group rebellion, civil war, propagation of fake news advocating crime. I wish to precise here that the counts that I just listed as well as their predictable consequences,  can mean the same thing. It is therefore left for  the court  to determine the bases on which the charges will be sustained". Tchiroma added.

The case that opened on Feb 13th was adjourned to March 23rd 2017 because the prosecuting counsel said it needed to swell up the list of its witnesses, and also get a competent translator.
